Hi! My name is Ms. Aronow. I have been fortunate to teach at Lyon School, with the best colleagues, students and parents, for the last 25 years! Prior to that, I taught in Chicago for 3 years. Every year at Lyon has been special, unique and exciting in its own way. Most of my 28 years of teaching have been spent in first grade. I have also taught second grade and I even did a first/second multi-age for a couple of years! However, once you teach first grade, it is always in your heart! :)

I grew up in Milwaukee. I went to TCU (Texas Christian University) in Ft Worth where I majored in Accounting. I worked at an Accounting firm in Dallas/Fort Worth for a few years and then was transferred to Chicago. Here I realized I wasn't following my true passion. I made a few life changes and went to National Louis University to get my Masters in the Art of Teaching. Now I'm about to start my 26th year of teaching at Lyon!

Besides being a teacher, I am also a proud Auntie to three nephews and a niece. I'm also a runner, a reader and a HUGE Chicago Bears fan (big Cubs fan, too.) My Wisconsin family wonders at my choice of teams to live and die by. We all have something that makes us unique, though.
What makes you special?
